Excuse me Carl, if I may. Condolences are in order here. My heart goes out to the family and friends of Leo.
“Understood and Respected Thai Culture”…How about understanding tourism and human beings? Thai culture is not learned easily. Would that make this ok…NO!

My brother was murdered here, he fully understood & respected Thai culture. He lived here for 10 years.

Sorry doesn’t wash with me. Is this how society here is going to be…bang bang your dead.

I would like to respond to Carls comments, Jan.13th.
I am Leo’s cousin, and let me tell you! Leo did everything possible to educate himself, as well as understand there culture prior to going their. He Loved the people there and the land, hense, that is why he would “Wai” to everyone, even when he came home. You were not blessed to have known Leo so I understand where your ignorance would come from.

I met Leo in Thailand last year… and in response to a previous comment he had a deep understanding and love of the Thai culture. Always polite and so very, very kind.
He will be sadly missed.

I felt devastated when I heard the news. I know some of the family members and they are the most beautiful and loving people. Even in the photos taken of Leo you cant help but notice the kindness in his eyes. May justice be served soon for the sake of the family. No one should have to endure this!! My heart truly goes out to them.

Having read the story of these tragic events, whilst I feel for the family and friends, one has the feeling that none of this may have happened if the victims had better understood and respected Thai culture.

I was a good friend of Leo and this has just torn his friends and family apart. Leo was such a great guy, he was always concerned about our world and making it a better place. He was kind to others and put everyone else before him. I am disgusted with Canada’s attempt to do anything. We need to put our foot down before more innocent lives are taken. They need to do there own investigations and maybe justice will finally be served. Leo’s smile and visions of making this world a better place will never be forgotten. RIP my friend.

Canadian embassy…help? haha I think it finally just sent a team to Phuket for tsunami aid.
Sorry to hear this sad news, but you really need to pay attention to the culture in Thailand.

Leo was a non confrontational person , he had a heart of gold and never caused any trouble with anyone .
When ever you saw Leo he was so easy going and so extremely polite and eager to talk with people .
(( This was the worst loss of someone special ))

This is a tradgedy… and i find it absoultey disgusting how a man who admits to taking the life of another human being is let out on bail.
Justice needs to be served! Leo was an increidble human being who always had others best interests at heart. My prayers go out to Carly and Leo’s family. I hope that for once the Canadian Embassy will step up and demand justice as such acts of violence are not acceptable and should nevr be written of as accidents or missunderstandings.
