Staff at the Pattaya People Media Group run by former Copenhagen gangster Niels Colov, now a reformed leader of the Pattaya Police Foreign Volunteers, are reported to have had their wages cut by 50 per cent amid rumours that the ‘media empire’ might come crashing down.

They are even more concerned that Colov, who set his eyes on opening a media company in the Philippines and was accompanied there  two years ago by the infamous Drew Noyes, then boss of the Pattaya Times, has  now legged it back there again - though he is expected to return.

The Pattaya People Media Group owns newspapers published in German, Thai and English, but not Danish -  Colov’s mother tongue.

It also runs radio stations, Pattaya People Television where the news is read by someone sounding exactly like the late Cyril Fletcher of Odd Odes fame on Esther’s Rantzen’s former ‘That’s Life’ television show.

Re-union. Colov with on the left - two career criminals from Copenhagen/

Colov was convicted in Copenhagen of pimping, vandalism and using coercion but in Pattaya he is a pillar of society, former President of the Pattaya-Jomtien Rotary Club, an honorary Bandido,  a former Knight of Rizal, the recipient of a Papal blessing (paid for) and a United Nations Cross (fake and staged).

Staff say they have been told they will get the other 50 per cent next month. Perhaps they do not like being treated as if they were working on a Thai fishing boat.

Now with Apostolic Blessing at heaven's door
Noyes, who is appealing a two year jail sentence for extortion closed his self aggrandising 'Pattaya Times' two years ago,

Recently Noyes closed down the Pattaya Times website which in latter days was used only to attack the owner of this site Andrew Drummond.

He told a court earlier this month that he had sold the business to another American.

Noyes has always follow in the footsteps of Colov, firstly into the directory publishing business, then attempting to form a rival Expats Club, whose members gave him the boot; then into publishing, but most of all into setting up a 'One Stop Service' for gullible new arrivals in Pattaya.

He failed to make the Rotary but managed to get elected to President of the mainly Indian Lions Club of Silom 310D - but things have gone a bit quiet there.

He also failed in his attempts to open radio and television stations.

They had a public squabble slagging off each other in each's respective newspapers - and there was even litigation - but they kissed and made up realising it was not doing too good for their images.

They both ventured to the Philippines where they signed a memorandum of undestanding, as is their usual style, with a local mayor in one of those sex locations. Neils Colov then set up the Angeles Media Group in SE Asia's other sex capital - Angelese City.

Nothing came of it despite their repeated the ' We love Filipinos and your country'.

In Noyes' case this may of course be because of one Noyes's former Filipina staff lodged a complaint with the Ombudsman for Women's Affairs there telling of her attack in Keha Condominium, Pattaya, after being lured to the Pattaya Times on the promise of a job.

But Colov apparently left the shell of a company there and may be planning a re-incarnation there - as he is having problems with creditors. He has taken his trusty steed  Colin de Jong with him.

Perhaps now the Pattaya People Group will follow the Pattaya Times into oblivion. If so, I wonder what will happen to Barry Upton composer singer of that classic song  Pattaya Wonderland who latched himself on to Colov years ago, 'Daytime, night time any times a good time for falling in love in Pattaya'.

  1. I actually got to 1.50 of that clip before pulling the pin. If I was Van Gogh I'd cut my other ear off. The Mayor looks so comfortable playing his tambourine doesn't he! Instead of the three girls they should have used the three stooges Noyes, Goudie and Hanks as the back up singers. That would have made it perfect. Colov is probably scoping his escape route just in case he needs to do a Lord Lucan.

  2. According to his FB page, he's been in Angeles city recently with none other than Harris Black providing restaurant advice...says it all really...

There's also a pattaya people staff lunch photo with 12+ people there. Running a TV station can't be cheap and I suspect it's his gigantic ego that is responsible for a lot of these ventures, can't be made easier by the cratering of Russian tourism and any associated advertising...

  3. A comment on adversity, after being personally scammed by a fraudster - again. I found out about this just yesterday:

That the VP of our company has recently committed fraud to the tune of about half a million dollars - 15 million Baht, I am reminded how people put far too much stock in "things."

That my 2 million plus shares (purchased for $80,000 dollars, or about 2.7 million Baht in 2011) I "own" in this company are now worth substantially less than toilet paper makes me appreciate what is really important - again - LOL - which is relationships with quality people, animals and the wonderful natural world. I used to live and die with paper gains and losses in the stock market, as so many are still trapped in that abysmal, ultimately empty way of "life."

We own nothing - it owns us when we become materialistic creatures. Remember the old saying.." He who dies with the most toys wins." I have personally evolved to understand that less is more.

"Less is More" would be a worst seller, so I'll avoid trying to convince the masses with a book offering on that subject, for they have a different agenda - greed, more, more, more, and me, me, me, like a two -year old, is the manta of the human race. A sordid tale indeed, when "can I have more?" becomes not only the raison d'etre for most, but a bona-fide lifestyle of excess equates to success. So many miserable millionaires and billionaires would love their health back, because they discovered too late that money makes very poor medicine indeed.

Personalities are forged in the cauldron of adversity, when you discover who you really are. I am satisfied that I am able to weather large storms, but it's the little things that often irritate me. Big things? My Bpen Rai. Funny how that works.

After all - it ain't how you take the sugar in life - that's easy, it's how you take the shit. Anyone can roll with the good stuff, but when you can still smile when the crap hits the fan - all is very well indeed. Falling apart like a cheap toy at the first sign of adversity is for losers, and I ain't a loser, except financially - but I will never measure my own success (anymore, LOL) by the size of my bank account.

Integrity comes at a high price - anything worth doing on this "veil of tears" is not easy. For I do not set my standards against those who look at what their neighbor has - to compare and find their own self-worth is only valid when measured against what others may or may not have.

The average person in North America dies with 75% of their money intact. That implies some have 95%, and others zero. Once our "results" hit the sewer, the playing field is ultimately leveled. The Jews and the Arabs have a common sewer in Jerusalem, where the sordid fluids finally see eye to eye, in the cauldron of despair and hope. Up to you.

  4. Brian Sandberg is already kicked out of the Bandidos.
He showed up in my country (Netherlands) to start a new Bandidos chapter in the Limburg province, but luckily it did not work out:)
We don't need people like him:)

  5. It's a bit of a mis-match, LOL. This guy has the tats on his arms of a young, wanna-be tough guy, but his face gives him away as an entitled coward, who grovels behind other erstwhile s--t-eaters, to ensure the continuance of a nefarious life-style not worth living. His breath must be something else..

That despicable skin on his arm should be peeled off, and offered up to him on a nice fresh bed of healthy lettuce with capers on the side. I'll volunteer to do it with a rusty cabinet scraper, being an ex carpenter I got the wrists to do the job.

Then he can open a tattoo removal business. Even that wasted piece of skin knows that tattoo removal is a very lucrative business these days, as Tramp Stamps seem uncool after a while..LOL

On another note, how do you tell his girlfriends apart from ordinary good Thai office girls? Right.

  6. These guys target farang "suckers." "Good thing" too, because if they targeted Thais, they'd be long dead. Pick your targets wisely.

That's why Thailand does sweet F all, and these guys are laughing all the way to the bank - until Karma get's em..

With any fortune at all, some of the Boiler Room Scum will become permanently constipated, and their thoughts will turn to their lower bowels, where with any luck they will reside permanently in their own fecal matter. Oh, they already do.
