How Exploiting Thai Sex Workers Exposed Connections to Groups Trading Indecent Images of Children

He Called Himself a ‘Global Entrepreneur’ — In Thailand He Was Just a Very ‘Badly Behaved Foreigner’

Bryan Flowers, a controversial media boss and sex-trade ‘entrepreneur’ in Thailand, was exposed joining groups trading indecent images of Thai children, after trying to market a website selling ‘Asian girls used panties.

The boss of the Pattaya News and TPN National News revealed himself as the ‘English businessman’ (นักธุรกิจชาวอังกฤษ) username @somchaibusiness – in several paedophile groups, as he attempted to extract as much money as possible from his business controlling 500 to 800 sex workers.

Flowers had already more than quadrupled the price foreign sex tourists and expats in Pattaya had to pay to rent sex workers from his Night Wish Group controlling 21 bar-brothels in a street, known simply as Soi 6, in the Thai resort of Pattaya.

And during Covid he had put the women on webcams to squeeze out every penny he could – though PayPal refused to honour payments.

But while three of his employees, two young Thai women and an illegally employed British manager, were jailed for 21 years for trafficking a 16-year-old into prostitution in one of his Soi 6 bars, he was trawling the net viewing offers of child porn of children as young as five.

He was undone when he tried to raise even more cash from his Thai women by posting to a sex-business marketing website (www.gfy.com) – go f!!k yourself dot com – giving several identities.

Calling himself ‘Asian Panties,’ Flowers had asked advice ‘on behalf of a friend’ for someone to take care of marketing for a new product.

“My friend has a new website asiangirlsusedpanties.com. It’s got genuine girls and products. He needs someone to run adverts and do the marketing for it: he’s offering 25 per cent of total sales. Does anyone have any idea or known anyone that can do this?” he asked.

But Flowers was being tracked by a defrauded investor, who had put some US$460,000 in the Night Wish Group only to find it did not exist as a company – just a name.

Flowers had initially given a skype address ‘indolesman’ to reply to an enquirer, and also to another post he had made seeking help in driving traffic to a new ‘escorts’ website.

Indolesman

The investor Canadian Adam Howell already knew the name indolesman. Flowers had used an indolesman Gmail as his contact on the site www.beltsofmongering.com, which hailed Andrew Mountbatten Windsor, the former Prince Andrew, as the ‘King of Mongers’).

This was a crude website for sex tourists, heavily promoted on Flowers’ forum site www.pattaya-addicts.com. But the name indolesman was not definitive proof that Flowers was ‘Asian Panties.’

But soon, seeking someone to handle a world ‘escort’ directory Flowers gave another contact email to reply to as [email protected] (below).

[email protected]

[email protected] seemed to confirm everything. Flowers had registered a company in the U.K called Adult World (now in another name) remarkably like a site called Adult Work, and had even launched a website for it.

The conclusive proof that Flowers was ‘Asian Panties’ came when he gave his own well known bryaninbangkok Gmail in yet another post on the same subject.

Signed off as indolesman. BryaninBangkok four lines up from the bottom

But then Flowers came up with another unknown identity @somchaibusiness.

‘@somchaibusiness

Somchai, a common Thai male name, was the alias Flowers used to write a special guide for ‘mongers’ on his beltsofmongering website pretending it was written by a shy Thai friend.

AGE IS JUST A NUMBER!

And a data scrape of the Telegam app revealed the sordid world that Flowers lived in. His alter-ego Somchai was looking at groups offering videos of children aged 5-9, and 11-15. Groups such as girrylovgroup followed by ‘Pleasure broadcast station’ and ‘Age is just a number’ offered ‘leaked lists’ and thumbnail images.

On the left Bryan Flowers Telegram account in his own name. On the right Flowers as Somchai (นักธุรกิจอังกฤษ, English businessman) They were both bad but only under Somchai did he join groups offering CSAM, child sexual abuse material.

A review of two Telegram accounts one in his own name and the other @somchaibusiness showed they were operated by the same person.

Despite using different usernames, both accounts joined an identical cluster of Thai‑language adult‑content channels, Pattaya nightlife groups, leaked‑clip communities, and an illicit drug‑market channel.

But @somchaibusiness alone was used to access CSAM groups.

Flowers’ child sexual abuse groups

Below are examples from groups joined by Somchai, including an example offer of images and videos of children aged 5 to 9 and 11 to 5.

Offers were often combined with phrases such as: คลิปหลุดมาใหม่ — New leaked clips;

ไม่ติดแคด — Not censored / not blurred; ปลายเปิด — Uncut / fully exposed;

งานดี / งานแรง” (Thai slang for explicit content).

Inappropriate images blacked out. Above Child Work Group – below English translation.

The investigation had to stop there. It is illegal to join these groups. Other CSAM groups were identified and reports were sent to the U.K. National Crime Agency, through the British Embassy in Bangkok, Thai Cyber Police (CIB) and, separately, Howell gave details to the CIB, Anti-Human Trafficking Division, and other agencies.

None of these forces has made an official comment but we can say the following:

“Investigators reviewing Flowers’ Telegram activity identified several channels that were clearly dedicated to child sexual abuse material (CSAM).

These included Thai‑language groups using terminology associated with ‘child clips’, a known category within Southeast Asian CSAM distribution networks.

The presence of these channels within Flowers’ group list is independently verified and does not rely on inference from slang or ambiguous wording”

Bryan Flowers denial.

Bryan Flowers has denied the allegations. He claimed that a confidential letter which had been given to the CIB, and leaked to him, was the source material for everything that has been said against, but it was not the source material for anything. The source material came from files and statements issued by Flowers himself, and Howell’s records.

The letter, which can be found here in English, was actually composed by a police officer and did contain factual inaccuracies. Howell had not seen the English translation before signing.

In a statement answering the latest allegations Flowers said:

“There is no such Telegram group. The claim is wholly fabricated. If a ‘channel for child prostitution’ existed, Howell — who positions himself as a confidential AHTD informant with insider access — would have produced the channel name, the join link, member identities, message content, screenshots, or any other concrete artefact. He has produced none of those things because none exist.

Flowers may wish to review his comment.

He said the letter had been ‘Forwarded to current counsel Defamation Guard Law for inclusion in an open UK harassment matter’.

U.K. Police have dismissed a ‘harassment’ claim brought by Flowers, who has created 59 YouTube and over 100 web pages attacking Howell, and this writer and has carried out similar attack against others in the past.

Defamation Guard Law does not exist. It is a company invented by Bryan Flowers after he parted company with a real legal company 9Cohen Davis) in the U.K., which had asked him to desist from claiming his websites were written under their guidance.

The Solicitors Regulation Authority has put out a scam warning against it.

Flowers has not renewed his Thai work permit as General Manager of the Pattaya News and was last known in Thailand on a tourism visa. He continues to churn out paid for false biographies on the net describing himself as a global entrepreneur.

Many websites usually of pseudo American news publications are carrying Flowers’ fake bio, Here’s another

Flowers advertising Belts of Mongering on his Pattaya-Addicts forum.

(Above: Bryan Flowers talks about his very good Thai friend ‘Somchai,’ who writes a ‘mongering’ guide which was published on www.beltsofmongering.com.Flowers is Somchai. Mongering in this context means ‘someone who consorts with prostitutes; a lecher or panderer.’)

LEGAL NOTE: No laws were broken conducting this research. What is shown was obtained without joining any groups. We have been ensured that any groups and posts displayed here have already been taken down by Telegram. Images blocked do not show obscene content, but blurred inappropriate images which could possibly identify children. No AI has been used in any imaging. All imaging is shown as it appeared but edited manually to block images and links which might be live.

WHY WE PUBLISHED.

These details are only published now because the letter written on behalf of Canadian victim of Flowers revealing his Telegram activity was leaked by the police back to Flowers prompting him to delete his @somchaibusiness Telegram identity and clean his computers. (see last story below)

The letter had been taken to a meeting at the CIB headquarters in Bangkok and addressed to the Commander of the Anti-Human Trafficking Division.

About Andrew Drummond

The author Andrew Drummond is a former foreign correspondent who covered southeast Asia from 1989 to 2015, registered with the Thai Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the Observer and Evening Standard and latterly for the Times.

He kept this website open because, with the dramatic increase of tourist numbers, his role reverted to that of being a crime reporter, and he has been able to help victims and often been able to reveal the reality behind crime stories.

During his tenure in southeast Asia he also tracked down British child sex offenders which successfully led to their arrest and convictions in Thailand, Cambodia and Vietnam.

Glitter in Vung Tau (Andy Chant)

In this field he is best known among his peers for tracking down, together with photographer Andrew Chant, Graham Gadd best known as the glam rock star Gary Glitter in Vung Tao, Vietnam, which led to Glitters’ arrest and subsequent jail sentence.
