This follows the case of Samantha Orobator, a Nigerian born Briton, locked up in jail in Laos for drugs trafficking.
Samantha faced the death sentence but while in jail became pregant with the assistance of another prisoner Briton John Watson . Her case was taken up by the charity ‘Reprieve’ and she returned to Britain under a swiftly negotiated prison transfer treaty.
